Elisha Onuche is hardworking and creative, he discovered his passion while working in the house of God. He speaks to Elorasblog in this Interview.

Please introduce yourself and tell us more about your background?

My name is Elisha Onuche. Indegine of kogi state and igala by tribe. I studied Business administration. By his Grace, I’m the founder of Silverlined Decorations.

You’re an Entrepreneur, what does your business entails?

It’s a business which specializes in events decorations. Creatively beautifying events.

What is the name of your business?

Silverlined Decorations.

Did you attend any form of training?

No formal training. I got this skills in the church. 2006 when I joined the decorations unit of my local church with no intentions of monetizing it until 2014 when I ventured into it as passion and here we are today.

What inspired you to start up Silver Lined Decorations?

It was more of putting passion to practice that will in turn generate income.

How were you able to raise fund to start up your business?

I raised funds from the jobs I did. Personally I don’t fancy loans or any form of getting money which requires a payback. Little by little I was able to finance the necessary startup requirements

What major challenges have you encountered in your business?

I can’t specifically point any challenge since I started. Am someone who carefully check out a client from our conversations. if the job is worth doing.. I’ll go for it and if it doesn’t, politely I’ll walk away from that job.
This has kept me away from seeming challenging situations/clients. And if you mean financially, I’ll still state same reason. I don’t indulge into expenses above my financial capacity.

like the saying goes about life.. “choose your battles wisely.”

What platform do use to advertise your business?

Technology has come to stay so I use the social media in advertising the business. initially it was through the ‘word of mouth.’ I hardly make an introduction without the first line statement carrying what I do for a living.. Then referrals and now social media.

You’re the boss, how does it feel working for yourself?

It’s has always been a path I wanted to take ever since. Earning income at my own pace and time. I never envied the paid employment. Am not where I want to be now but I thank God am not where I used to be.

Will you say it’s been financially rewarding

It pays my bills, so i can say its financially rewarding but Let me say something here, I never got into this for the Money. I did establish the company so as to create a brand that will outlast me. Financial rewards are just the proceeds from doing what I love most.

Where do you see your brand in 5 years?

With The right system which I’m currently working on, I see the brand handling total Decorations beyond events in 5 years time.
