There was this girl that I liked so much, she’s very tall, slim and elegant. She use to assist her mum sell phone accessories in her shop.
She was an only child to a single mother who loved her so much cause she was her everything.
One day, I came back home for holiday and I saw her mother, she looked depressed. I asked for my friend and she disclosed a bad news to me that made me trembled.
Her daughter died during her NYSC, she was very sick. I asked her many questions but she couldn’t answer me. How do you keep asking how come, what hospital treated her, were they negligent? Cause she was in a bad state and still mourning.
So I was feeling for her cause I knew what it is to be bereaved as I Ve lost two people that was so dear to me.
I remember vividly a woman who lost her husband and 3kids. She was a cleaner in an office, there was this single lady that kept complaining that she has no husband and children at age 44. The colleague she complained to, took her to one of the cleaner in the office, you know why? That cleaner told her everything she’s been through.
All her woes and how she occupies herself with the things she love most. That was the best counseling she ever received as she calmed her down after listening to the cleaner.
We must be grateful and thankful for life.
