
Agabus Agboye is young and despite the face that he’s a physics graduate, he has discovered his talent in catering services, his work is neat and desirable. He speaks to Elorasblog in this interview.
Please introduce yourself and tell us more about your background?
My name is Agabus Agboye, I’m from Delta state, Ughelli South LGA.
I’m the last child with six siblings.
I studied Physics with Electronics Technology for the university of Port Harcourt.
What’s the name of your business?
I’m an Entrepreneur, I run a catering servicing company called “Chow Country”.

What inspired you to start up this business?
My love for eating good food and also my love for serving people meals. I’m always excited whenever I’m in the kitchen.
How were you able raise fund for this business?
I used other people’s money. Eg, they asked us to cater for their events, they pay us a percentage to start off the job and that was how we grew.
What medium do you use to advertise your business?
I used Social media, I joined communities on social media where I have the opportunity to share what I do, I also did vending for events and trade fair.
You’re the boss, doesn’t it feel great when you manage your own time?
It feels good but it’s not an easy street. It is SUPER demanding, it requires a lot from you to be innovative and creative to stay in business because If the business fails or succeed is totally your fault.
What are the challenges you’ve encountered while running your business?
The challenge we faced and still facing is our location, we need to move to a better location so we can do business with the kind of people we are sent to.
Does business pay the bills, will you say it has yield it fruits?
Yes it has been financial rewarding.
Where do see your brand in 5 years?
In the next 5 years I see us being the official catering company to cater for all the government Houses in Nigeria.
