The coronavirus has forced people to think outside the box. With millions of infected and numbers continuing to rise, one boy developed the desire to help keep his mom and dad safe.
San Fransisco native Mizan Rupan-Tompkins might only be 12 but he developed a survival tool for the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rupan-Tompkins used a 3D printer to create a device that allows people to open doors and press buttons without actually making contact with the surface.
The young genius demonstrated his brilliance His Safe Touch Pro Handle is made of plant-based bio compostable plastic, which prevents scratches on surfaces.
EastCoastRadio reported the handle contains silver ion particles that repel microorganisms. This helps protect against bacteria. Mizan Rupan-Tompkins used a 3D printer to create a handle that allows for contact-free interaction with surfaces such as doors and buttons.
Rupan-Tompkins got the idea because he wanted to keep his parents safe. However, his device could help people across the world by limiting the spread of Covid-19 through touching surfaces.
Age is not really a barrier The 12-year-old said: “No matter how old you are, you’re still able to make a difference.” It appears innovation comes naturally to this genius young man. He reportedly received recognition as an innovator and even built his own computer.
