Let’s Respect People’s Decisions On What They Choose Not To Share – Adesua Etomi Says

Popular Nigerian actress, Adesua Etomi, has spoken on the important topic of choice and why people should respect it.

This topic seems to be necessary considering that a number of people often feel entitled to have opinions on the dealings of others, especially if they are public figures.

The movie star in a post on Twitter said that people should respect the choices others make about their lives.

She elaborated further by saying their choice on how to love, grieve, what to share or what to keep a secret should be respected.

The new mother of one added that people are not the same and others should learn to deal with the difference.

In her words:

“Let this be the year we normalise ‘respecting people’s choices’.
“Choices on how 2 grieve, how 2 express Joy & Love. Choices on what they share & when they share it or if they choose not 2 share. Life choices etc.

A number of Nigerians agreed with the much-loved actress and her post but a few others wondered if it was truly possible for people not to mind the business of others.

This is coming after the news that Adesua and her husband, Banky W, welcomed their first child and announced it on social media after four weeks.

The news was met with so much joy from fans and prayers for the couple. Fans particularly praised them for being able to keep the news a secret.

Well, this also led to comments from others who felt that such messages were placing blames on mothers who had lost children.
